We’ve extended our electric fleet pilot
Since June 2023, we’ve been exploring the possibilities of electrifying our fleet with the introduction of five new electric vehicles. This initiative paves the way for a greener future by helping us understand how we can decarbonise our fleet in the future, whilst making sure our customers’ needs are met.
We are continuing to run our pilot for an additional 12 months so that we can get the best idea of how well electric vehicles work for us and the services we provide throughout the South West.
Our Cby28 Programme
What is Cby28? It’s our ambitious programme aimed at upgrading our underperforming properties to Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Band C by 2028 – two years ahead of the government’s deadline.
Thanks to over £8 million in funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), we’re making significant strides in this initiative.
Since the beginning of our Cby28 programme in 2021, we’ve successfully retrofitted over 500 homes. Additionally, our data review has led to an increase in homes meeting or surpassing the C standard.
